3 ½ cups coarsely chopped pecans
2 cups all-purpose flour
⅔ cup powdered sugar
¾ cup butter, diced
½ cup thickly packed brown sugar
½ cup honey
⅔ cup butter
3 tablespoons whipped cream

To make

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line the bottom and sides of the 13-inch x 9-inch mold with strong aluminum foil so that the edges protrude 2 to 3 inches. Lightly grease the foil.Bake the pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant, stirring in the middle.Whisk the flour, powdered sugar, and 3/4 cup butter in a food processor 5 to 6 times or until the mixture resembles coarse flour. Squeeze the mixture onto the bottom and sides of the pan 3/4 inch up.Bake at 350 ° C for 20 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely on a wire rack (about 15 minutes).Bring the brown sugar and the following 3 ingredients to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the toasted pecans and spoon the hot filling onto the prepared cake.Bake at 350 ° C for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on a wire rack (about 30 minutes). Remove the baked bars from the pan, using the edges of the foil as handles. Transfer to a cutting board; cut into bars.
