1 pack (18.25 oz) devil's food cake mixes
1 container sour cream (16 oz.)
½ cup milk
¼ cup melted butter
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Winter white glaze
Garnish: red cinnamon candies, fresh bay leaves.*
To make
Make these mini chocolate brownies by taking devils'food cake mix and baking in muffin tins. The festive side dish of holly is simply red candies with cinnamon and fresh bay leaves.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat the first 6 ingredients with an electric mixer on low speed until the dry ingredients are moistened. Increase the speed to medium and beat for 1-2 minutes or until smooth, stopping to clean the bowl as needed. Spoon the batter into 2 oiled and floured muffin tins (12 cups each).Bake at 350 ° C for 20-22 minutes or until a wooden stick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Transfer from the pan to a wire rack and let cool completely (about 30 minutes).Place the brownies upside down on a serving platter. Spoon the winter white icing onto the cakes (about 1 tablespoon per cake), spreading with a spatula to completely cover the cakes. Decorate if desired.* Can be replaced with fresh mint leaves.Note: For testing purposes only, we used the Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil's Food Premium cake mix.
