Peanut Butter–Banana Bread


1 ½ cups mashed ripe banana

⅛ a teaspoon of ground allspice
2 tablespoons ground peanuts, toasted dry

⅓ cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon 1% low-fat milk
1 tablespoon peanut butter

To make

Peanut butter is whipped into the main recipe for making moist banana bread with a nutty flavor. A small amount of crushed roasted peanuts provides a delicious crunch.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.To make the bread, combine the first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; beat with a mixer on medium speed. Add granulated and brown sugar; beat until smooth.Spoon the flour into dry measuring cups; flatten with a knife. Combine the flour and the following 5 ingredients (with allspice added) in a small bowl. Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture; beat until smooth. Add the nuts. Pour the batter into a 9-inch x 5-inch baking dish greased with cooking spray. Bake at 350 ° C for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or until a wooden stick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Remove from the oven; cool 10 minutes in the pan on a wire rack. Remove the bread from the pan; allow to cool.To make the frosting, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk. Drizzle the icing on the bread.
