Brie with Jeweled Fruit Compote


¼ cup dried cherry pie mix
¼ cup dried apricots, sliced
¼ cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons brown sugar
3 tablespoons brandy
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon whole grain mustard
¾ teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
⅛ a teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper
A pinch of kosher salt
6 small dried figs, cut into quarters
1 slice brie cheese (8 oz.)

To make

This wonderful appetizer is prepared as quickly and simply as possible, and it is also very tasty. You don't even need to let the cheese warm up to room temperature first; the warm fruit that will be sprinkled on top will soften it. Serve with crostini or crackers.
Combine all the ingredients except the cheese in a medium bowl suitable for a microwave. Reheat in the microwave on high power for 2 minutes. Stir the mixture; reheat in the microwave on high power for 1 minute or until bubbles form. Serve with brie cheese and warm fruit.
