Crisp Fried Onions

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
1 large onion

Fried onions are an excellent filling for a classic burger and go equally well with a delicious side dish.
Combine flour, salt and paprika in a large bowl. Slice the onion very thinly with a mandolin or sharp knife.Pour the oil 2 inches deep into a roasting pan; preheat to 375 degrees. Roll the onion rings in the flour mixture until they are lightly coated. Shake off any excess flour. Saute onions in batches, about 1 minute or until golden brown; dry on paper towels.
