Fettuccine Alfredo with Bacon

Ingredients
1 pack (9 oz) fresh fettuccine in the refrigerator
2 slices of apple-smoked bacon, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup 1% low-fat milk

Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the package, without adding salt or fat. Drain in a colander over a bowl, reserving 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid.While the pasta is cooking, saute the bacon in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat for 4 minutes or until crisp, stirring occasionally. Remove the bacon from the pan, leaving the fillings. Add the garlic to the filling in the pan; saute for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Sprinkle the garlic with flour; cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly; cook for 2 minutes or until bubbling and slightly thickened, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low. Gradually add the cheese, stirring occasionally, until the cheese is melted. Add salt and the remaining 1/4 cup of the cooking liquid. Add the hot pasta to the pan; mix well. Sprinkle with bacon, parsley and pepper.
