Glazed Carrots with Bacon and Onion

Ingredients
1 pack of 1 lb baby carrots
3 slices of bacon
1 small onion, chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
¼ teaspoon pepper

In a large saucepan, cook the carrots in boiling water to coat them, 15 minutes or until the carrots are tender; drain.Fry the bacon in a frying pan until crisp; remove the bacon and dry it on paper towels, leaving 1 tablespoon of the filling in the pan. Crumble the bacon; set aside.Saute the onion in the remaining sauce over medium-high heat for 3 minutes or until tender. Add brown sugar, pepper and carrots. Cook, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes or until the carrots are glazed and thoroughly warmed.Transfer the carrots to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped bacon.
