Grilled Royal Reds with Lemony Garlic Butter

Ingredients
1 cup (8 oz) softened unsalted butter
1 ½ tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons lemon zest plus 2 1/2 tablespoons fresh juice (from about 2 lemons)
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
2 pounds fresh king red prawns
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
To make
Preheat the grill to medium heat (350 ° F to 400 ° F). Combine the butter, garlic, lemon zest and juice, thyme, pepper, and 1 teaspoon salt in a medium bowl until smooth.Combine shrimp, butter, and remaining 1 teaspoon salt in a large bowl.
