Velvety Pecan Candy

Ingredients
3 cups coarsely chopped pecans
Waxed paper
1 ½ pounds vanilla or chocolate icing, coarsely chopped
1 can condensed milk with sugar (14 oz.)
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Bake the pecans in a single layer in a shallow pan for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant.Line a 15-inch x 10-inch jelly roll pan with waxed paper. Lightly grease the waxed paper.Preheat the candy frosting, condensed milk with sugar, and salt in a 2-liter microwave-safe bowl over HIGH heat for 3-5 minutes, stirring at 1-minute intervals. Stir until smooth. Add vanilla and pecans. Place an even layer on the prepared pan. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until set.Place the candies on a cutting board and cut them into small squares. Store, covered, at room temperature.
