Asian Vegetable Stir-Fry

Ingredients
2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce
½ teaspoon cornstarch
1 crushed jalapeno pepper
1 pound asparagus
3 cups chopped green peas with sugar
1 ½ cups red bell pepper strips
1 cup chopped green onion (about 3 pieces)
2 teaspoons dark sesame oil
2 teaspoons minced peeled fresh ginger
¼ teaspoon salt
3 garlic cloves, minced
¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
To make
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a small bowl; set aside. Cut off the stiff tips of the asparagus; cut into 3-inch-thick pieces and place in a large bowl. Add the peas, bell pepper, and onion; set aside.Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ginger, salt, and garlic; cook, stirring, for 30 seconds. Add the vegetable mixture; cook, stirring, for 3 minutes.Add the hoisin sauce mixture; stir-fry for 1-2 minutes or until the vegetables are thickened and crisp and tender. Remove from the heat and add the cilantro.
