Bacon, Onion, and Mushroom Pizza

Ingredients

1 11-ounce can of chilled french bread dough
2 teaspoons yellow corn flour
1 tablespoon olive oil, divided
2 cups vertically sliced onions (about 2 small ones)
1 pack (8 oz) pre-sliced cremini mushrooms
¾ cup (3 oz) grated white cheddar cheese
6 bacon slices, seared and coarsely crumbled
¼ cup finely chopped fresh flat-leaved parsley

To make

Chilled French bread dough, used as a cake, is prepared quickly, but at the same time it turns out to be tender. To prepare it, find the creases in the dough and carefully roll it out.
Make a longitudinal cut in the dough. Starting at the seam, gently roll out the dough into a rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle on a lightly floured surface; transfer to a round pizza dish or large baking sheet sprinkled with cornmeal.Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the olive oil to the skillet; stir to coat. Add the onion; simmer for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally. Put the chopped onion in a bowl. Add the cremini mushrooms to the pan; simmer for 8 minutes or until the liquid has almost evaporated. Add the mushrooms to the onion mixture; toss to combine. Spread the onion mixture evenly over the prepared dough, leaving a 1/4-inch thick rim. Sprinkle evenly with white cheddar cheese and bacon. Bake at 425 ° C for 15 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned. Sprinkle with parsley. Cut into 12 slices.
