Bacon-Smoked Paprika-Cheddar Bars

Ingredients
2 ½ cups (10 oz) fresh grated spicy cheddar cheese
½ cup softened butter
1 tablespoon baking powder halved
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
4 cooked and crumbled slices of apple-smoked bacon
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
½ teaspoon ground red pepper flakes

In these savory bars with smoked paprika and cheddar, spicy cheddar cheese warms up the smoky taste of bacon and paprika.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.Beat the cheese, butter, baking powder and salt on medium speed using a powerful electric mixer until smooth. Gradually add the flour, bacon, paprika and ground red pepper, whisking until smooth.Place on a well-floured surface. Divide into 2 equal portions; flatten each one into a square. Roll out each 1/8-inch square. Cut into 2 1/2-inch x 3/4-inch strips using a fluted baking circle. Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper, 1 inch apart. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown; cool on baking sheets on a wire rack for 30 minutes.
