Basic Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients
½ cup packed dark brown sugar
½ cup fresh orange juice (for about 2 oranges)
¼ cup water
1 ½ tablespoons honey
⅛ a teaspoon of ground allspice
1 pack fresh cranberries (12 oz.)
1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
To make
This hot and sweet homemade cranberry sauce is deliciously served with turkey, chicken, quail, duck or ham.
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 12 minutes or until the mixture thickens slightly, stirring occasionally. Discard the cinnamon stick; cool completely.
