Bloody Mary Oyster Shooters

Ingredients
10 live oysters in shells
1 cup vegetable juice (e.g. V-8)
3 tablespoons vodka
1 tablespoon ready-made horseradish
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
⅛ a teaspoon of salt
½ teaspoon hot sauce (optional)

This recipe requires a small amount of alcohol, so it's more of a delicious canape than a drink. If you want to prepare a non-alcoholic version, do not add vodka and add an additional 1/4 cup of vegetable juice and a little more lemon juice.
Wash the oysters thoroughly and rinse under cold running water until all the plaque disappears. Peel the oysters (leaving the meat on the halves of the shells); use a knife to clean each oyster, carefully cut off the leg.Combine the vegetable juice and the following 5 ingredients (with added salt) in a liquid measuring cup. Add hot sauce if desired. Fill each of the 10 glasses with a 2 1/2 tablespoon juice mixture. Put the meat of one oyster in each glass. Peel from the shell.
