Ingredients

3 liters of water
1 teaspoon salt
2 pounds frozen soy beans in pods

In a 5-to 6-quart saucepan over high heat, bring about 3 liters of water and 1 teaspoon of salt to a boil. Add 2 pounds of frozen soy beans in the pods and cook until the beans inside the pods are soft to the taste (break up the pod for the dough), about 5 minutes. Drain the water and add salt to taste. Serve warm or cover and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
