Brown-Sugar Grilled Peaches

Ingredients
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
¼ teaspoon cinnamon
4 ripe peaches, halved, pitted
2 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
Vanilla ice cream optional
To make
Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon. Lightly brush the cut side of the peaches with butter.Grill with butter. Place the peaches on a wire rack, cut side down, and cook until no grill marks appear, 3 to 4 minutes. Lightly brush the bottom with the remaining butter and turn the peaches over. Sprinkle the sugar mixture on the cut side of the peaches, cover the grill, and cook until the sugar melts and caramelizes and the peaches are easily pierced with a sharp paring knife, another 3-6 minutes. Serve immediately, if desired, with ice cream.
