Ingredients
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup sugar
¾ cup red wine vinegar
1 teaspoon lemon zest
2 tablespoons lemon juice
To make
Bring all ingredients to a boil with 2 cups of water in a small saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, until most of the cranberries are uncovered.Spoon out a few whole cranberries and, if desired, set aside to garnish your drinks.*Strain the mixture, squeezing the liquid out of the pulp with the back of a spoon. Discard the pulp. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Store for up to 3 months.* Roll the berries in sugar, string them on toothpicks, and place them on top of the drinks. Use it on the same day.
