Ingredients
1 ½ pounds chicken breast or thighs, diced
1 honey. cut the onion into small cubes
2 carrots, sliced
2-3 chopped celery stalks
2 potatoes for baking, sliced
3 cans of mashed chicken soup
1 can chicken broth
1 cup frozen peas (or small packet)
Salt and pepper
1 pack of ready-made buttermilk biscuits, sliced

Just because you're going on a trip doesn't mean you have to give up home cooking. This recipe for making chicken and dumplings in a slow cooker is perfect for traveling — all you need is a slow cooker and a place to put it. It's simple, but it's easy to modify, so you can add or remove ingredients to your liking
Cook the chicken, potato slices, onion, mashed chicken soup and chicken broth on high power in a large slow cooker for 1 hour.Season to taste. Preheat the skillet to medium-high heat. Add the carrot and celery pieces and cook for about 4 hours.Cut the raw cookies into dumpling-sized pieces (about an inch). When the chicken is cooked and the potatoes and carrots are soft, place the raw cookies on top in a single layer. Do not mix.Let the biscuits cook for about 15 minutes. Add the frozen peas. Turn off the pot and let it simmer until it cools down.
