Eggs and Bacon Breakfast Pizza
Bookmark this page

Ingredients
12 ounces chilled fresh pizza dough
1 teaspoon olive oil
2 ½ ounces grated partially low-fat mozzarella cheese (about 2/3 cup)
3 center-cut bacon slices, sauteed and crumbled
4 large eggs
1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh green onions
2 tablespoons chopped fresh flat-leaved parsley
To make
Bacon and eggs, the main American breakfast items, are combined with Italian touches in this quick pizza. Be careful not to overcook the eggs - you'll want the golden yolk to soak through the crust.
Place a pizza pan or a thick baking sheet in the oven. Preheat the oven to 500 ° (keep the pizza pan in the oven while it warms up).Let the dough stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.Roll out the dough in a 14-inch circle on a floured surface; prick the entire surface liberally with a fork. Carefully remove the pizza pit from the oven. Place the dough on the pizza pan. Brush the dough with butter. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and bacon evenly on top. Break the eggs on top of the pizza; sprinkle evenly with the parmesan cheese. Bake at 500 ° C for 8 minutes or until the crust is lightly browned and crisp. Sprinkle with green onions and parsley. Cut into 8 slices.
