8 Slices of bread
2 eggs
2 tablespoons of milk
Butter for the pan
Toppings of your choice: fruit, cream, honey, maple syrup, chocolate, powdered sugar

This simple breakfast is a great way to use up bread that has gone a little stale. If possible, it is best with homemade or bakery bread, and thick slices are best.


Slice bread into 8 pieces, or as many as desired. Thicker slices work best for this recipe.

Whisk the eggs together with the milk.

Place a flat skillet over medium heat on the stove, and melt a little butter to prevent the bread from sticking while it cooks.

Dip the bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

Cook the bread on the skillet until light brown, about 1-2 minutes on each side.

Serve with fresh fruit, cream, syrup, chocolate, eggs, or other breakfast foods as desired.
