Goat Cheese Spread

Ingredients
2 packs of softened cream cheese (8 oz each)
8 oz goat's cheese
2 garlic cloves, minced
4 teaspoons chopped fresh or 1 1/4 dried oregano
⅛ a teaspoon of freshly ground pepper
¼ cup basil pesto
½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, sauteed, drained and chopped
Side dishes: slices of dried tomatoes, sprigs of fresh oregano
French bread slices or crackers
To make
Layer the pesto, sun-dried tomatoes, and goat's cheese and cream cheese mixture to create an impressive appetizer with Mediterranean flavors. Serve with slices of French bread or crackers.
Combine the first 5 ingredients in a food processor until smooth. Place one-third of the cheese mixture on the bottom of an 8-inch x 4-inch bread pan lined with plastic wrap. Top with the pesto; spread a third of the cheese mixture over the pesto. Sprinkle with sun-dried tomatoes; top with the remaining cheese mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours.Flip the spread onto a serving platter, discarding the plastic wrap. Decorate if desired. Serve with slices of French bread or crackers.
