Grilled Chicken with Cola Sauce

Ingredients
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 ½ tablespoons finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
¾ cup of cola (such as Coca-Cola)
⅓ cup ketchup
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 ½ teaspoons chili powder
1 ½ tablespoons dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon sweet paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ground cumin
6 skinless and boneless chicken breast halves (6 oz each)

The secret ingredient to this deliciously spicy grilled chicken is 3/4 cup of coke. You will enjoy the unique taste of kola mixed with warm spices such as cumin, paprika and ground chili pepper.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.Preheat a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Pour the oil into the pan; stir to coat. Add the onion to the pan; simmer for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the garlic; simmer for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Add the cola and the following 4 ingredients (with chili powder added); bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the sauce is reduced to 3/4 cup, stirring occasionally. Set 6 tablespoons of the sauce aside.Combine the sugar and the next 3 ingredients (via cumin), mixing well. Rub the chicken evenly with the spice mixture on both sides. Place the chicken on a grill rack greased with cooking spray; drizzle with 3 tablespoons of the remaining sauce. Cook on the grill for 5 minutes. Flip the chicken over; drizzle with 3 tablespoons of sauce. Cook on the grill for 5 minutes or until tender. Serve with the remaining 6 tablespoons of sauce.
