Bookmark this page

Ingredients
4 pounds of shelled shellfish
2 tablespoons olive oil
½ cup dry white wine
4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley
Crusty bread optional
To make
Grilling clams with garlic is as easy as possible, and since these clams are grilled, there's no mess involved.
Preheat the grill to high heat. Stack 2 pieces of thick foil, 2 feet long, on top of each other. Place the clam halves in the center of the foil. Drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1/4 cup wine. Sprinkle with half the garlic and half the parsley. Wrap the foil to seal, leaving room for the clams to open. Repeat with 2 more pieces of foil and the remaining clams, oil, wine, garlic and parsley.Cook on the grill, covered with foil, until the clams are uncovered, 10 to 12 minutes. Carefully open the bags. Transfer the contents to 4 shallow bowls and serve immediately with crusty bread, if desired.
