This simple grilled trout recipe has a fantastic flavor thanks to the addition of fresh rainbow trout, salt, paprika, sugar, fresh dill and lime slices. Roast the fish on a direct flame for a few minutes to get a good roast and great grill marks, then transfer to an indirect fire until tender.
Combine 2 cups of water, sea salt, and sugar in a shallow bowl; add the fish. Let stand for 20 minutes. Drain the water.Light charcoal in the fireplace starter; let the coals burn until the flames subside. Remove the hot coals from the appetizer; arrange in a pile on one side of the grill. Brush the grill grate with cooking spray; set the grate in place over the coals.Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of salt and pepper over the fish flesh. Spread the dill and lime slices evenly over the cavities of the fish. Brush the outside of the fish with cooking spray. Put the fish on a direct fire; cook for 4 minutes. Turn it over; place it on an indirect flame. Cook on the grill for 12 minutes or until tender.
