Mashed Chickpea Pitas

Ingredients
2 garlic cloves, minced
6 tablespoons plain low-fat Greek yogurt, divided
2 tablespoons low-fat mayonnaise
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
½ teaspoon salt
1 can unsalted chickpeas (15 oz), washed and dried
½ cup diced peeled English cucumbers
1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill
1 carrot, minced
2 (6-inch) bones, cut in half
4 lettuce leaves with curly leaves
To make
Pair this sandwich with a mixed green salad or a cup of soup for a light dinner.
Combine the garlic, 5 tablespoons of yogurt, and the following 4 ingredients (except chickpeas) in a bowl; mash with a potato masher or fork until almost smooth or the desired consistency is obtained. Add the cucumber and dill.Combine the remaining 1 tablespoon of yogurt and carrots in a small bowl; mix well to coat.Place 1 lettuce leaf on each half of the pita bread; season with 1/2 cup chickpea mixture and 2 tablespoons carrot mixture.
