One of the most favorite dishes in the countries where rice dishes are prepared is pilaf. It can be prepared not only with meat. Very tasty pilaf with dried fruit. To prepare pilaf with dried fruits, you need to take 5 cups of long-grain rice, a little more than a glass of vegetable oil, a glass of dried fruits (prunes, raisins, dried apricots, apples, figs), onion, 7 carrots, 4 cups of water and a little salt. 

First you need to prepare the necessary products. Clean the onion and finely chop, carrots to RUB better coarsely grated, but you can finely chop the dried fruit (for rice, any suitable), wash and pour warm (not hot) water for 15 minutes. The largest of them are recommended to cut into small pieces. Then, in a cast-iron bowl (cauldron, deep pan) with a lid pour oil and heat it until a haze.

Vegetables should be poured into a cauldron, cover and put to simmer for 20 minutes. After the container is poured into the prepared water, laid out dried fruits, well-washed rice, salt. All you need to mix and cook without a lid on low heat. 

After all the water boils, you need to pierce the pilaf with a stick to the bottom and pour some more water into the hole. Closing the lid, continue to simmer for about 10 minutes. 

Prepare a pilaf with dried fruits is quite simple, all the components of this dish are common and available. And the result is a very tasty, nutritious and healthy meal. In this version of pilaf sugar is not used. Therefore, it does not hurt even losing weight.
