1 teaspoon cornstarch
2 teaspoons dry sherry
2 teaspoons hoisin sauce
1 teaspoon rice vinegar
1 teaspoon chili paste with garlic (such as sambal olec)

1-pound sirloin steak, sliced thinly across the fibers
16 medium green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces
To make
Forget about fast food - this Mongolian beef option delivers all the flavor without excessive sodium and fat content. This vibrant Asian-inspired dish adds just the right amount of spice to the dish. But to make it more delicious for children and not stew at all, just leave out the chili paste. Serve this favorite beef dish with wide rice noodles to drizzle with garlic and ginger sauce. To add more greenery to the dish, add steamed or fried broccoli to the side dish.
Combine the first 8 ingredients, stirring occasionally, until smooth.Heat the peanut butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the minced ginger, minced garlic, and beef; cook for 2 minutes or until the beef is lightly browned. Add the green onion slices; simmer for 30 seconds. Add soy sauce mixture; cook for 1 minute or until thickened, stirring constantly.
