Ingredients

2 ounces softened cream cheese with 1/3 less fat
¼ cup softened unsalted butter
¼ cup canola oil
1 cup sugar, divided
1 tablespoon low-fat 2% milk
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 large egg
7.9 ounces all-purpose flour (approximately 1 3/4 cups)
¾ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon kosher salt

This dough is suitable for slicing cookies or as a roll for your favorite cookie cutters.
Combine the first 3 ingredients (with butter) and 2/3 cup sugar in a large bowl; beat with a mixer on medium speed until smooth. Add the milk, vanilla and egg. Whisk until smooth.Spoon flour into dry measuring cups; smooth with a knife. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the sugar mixture, whisking until smooth. Cover and chill for 30 minutes.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.Pour 1/3 cup sugar into a small bowl. Shape the dough into 36 (1-inch) balls. Roll the balls in the sugar and place them 1 1/2 inches apart on large baking sheets greased with cooking spray. Lightly flatten the cookies with the bottom of the glass.Bake at 350 ° C for 9 minutes or until a crust forms in the center. Cool on a baking sheet for 2 minutes. Remove from the pan; cool completely on a wire rack.
