1 cup plain low-fat kefir (such as Lifeway)
⅔ cup of old-style oatmeal
2 teaspoons honey
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
½ cup chopped strawberries
½ cup blueberries
2 tablespoons toasted unsweetened coconut flakes

This bowl of oatmeal is a great breakfast on the go, and is also fortified with probiotics with kefir added. This bowl is best served cold, because the active cultures in kefir are sensitive to heat. Resist the urge to cook your oatmeal in the microwave, keeping it chilled for maximum benefit.
Combine the first 4 ingredients in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate overnight; stir to combine. Divide the oatmeal mixture into 2 bowls. Sprinkle the portions evenly with berries and coconut flakes.
