Quick Chicken Cacciatore

Ingredients
2 teaspoons olive oil
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)
¾ teaspoon salt, divided
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 small yellow or green bell pepper, cut into thin strips
2 cups chopped crimini mushrooms
½ cup dry red wine
1 ½ cups tomato and basil pasta sauce (such as Classico)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
To make
Prepare chicken cacciatores in a hurry, a hunter-style dish with fresh herbs and tomato sauce to make the chicken hearty.
Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; add the chicken. Sprinkle the chicken with 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper; cook for 4 minutes on each side. Transfer the chicken to a plate; set aside.Saute the bell pepper and mushrooms in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon salt; cook for 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the wine; cook for 2 minutes. Add the sauce; warm it up. Return the chicken to the skillet; reduce the heat and simmer, turning once, for 4 minutes or until tender. Sprinkle parsley on top.
