Ingredients
1 ¼ cups old-style oatmeal
½ cup pecans
½ cup coarsely chopped walnut halves
½ cup dry-fried sunflower seed kernels
2 tablespoons raw quinoa
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon fresh thyme
1 teaspoon kosher salt
38 teaspoons ground red pepper
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 large egg white

Get to know your new granola, which has two-thirds less sugar than most store-bought varieties. We like it when it's a little spicier, but to reduce roasting, add red pepper. Mix with yogurt, sprinkle with fresh fruit, or add to salads.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.Combine the oats, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seeds, and quinoa in a large bowl.Combine the olive oil and the following 6 ingredients (including egg white) in a bowl, mixing well with a whisk. Drizzle the oatmeal mixture with the olive oil mixture; stir to coat. Place the mixture on a jelly roll tin smeared with cooking spray. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool completely.
