Smoky Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound brussels sprouts, peeled and halved
1 tablespoon minced garlic
2 teaspoons light brown sugar
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons chopped salted smoked almonds

Since this recipe contains a little sugar, stir the Brussels sprouts frequently to prevent them from burning. If you're feeling particularly decadent, sprinkle this side with a little grated Manchego cheese.
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 pound of peeled and halved Brussels sprouts; cook, stirring frequently, until lightly browned, 10 to 12 minutes. Add 1 tablespoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons light brown sugar, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt. Cook, stirring frequently, for 1 minute; remove from heat. Add 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons chopped salted smoked almonds.
