Turkey Pizza

Ingredients
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 ¾ cups canned chopped tomatoes
⅛ a teaspoon of salt
⅛ a teaspoon of crushed red pepper
¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
1 can chilled pizza dough (10 oz.)
Cooking Spray
2 cups sliced cooked turkey, skinless
½ cup (2 oz) grated provolone cheese
½ cup (2 oz) grated partially low-fat mozzarella cheese
To make
Provolone and mozzarella are traditional pizza cheeses, but you can use any combination of your favorites.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic; simmer for 4 minutes. Add tomatoes, salt and pepper; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Add the parsley and basil. Remove from heat. Allow to cool completely.Roll out the dough in a 10-inch circle on a lightly floured surface. Place the dough on a 12-inch pizza pan or baking tray covered with cooking spray. Squeeze the edges of the dough with your fingers to make a rim.Spread the tomato mixture over the cake, leaving a 1/4-inch thick rim. Top with turkey; sprinkle with cheese. Bake at 400 ° C for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
