Barbecue Turkey Burgers

Ingredients
¼ cup chopped onion
¼ cup divided barbecue sauce
2 tablespoons dry breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons ready-made mustard
¾ teaspoon chili powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 pound ground turkey
Cooking Spray
4 large lettuce leaves
4 1/4-inch thick tomato slices
4 hamburger buns (1 1/2 ounces each)
To make
Burgers don't have to be made with beef to be delicious and filling. These turkey burgers are very tender and delicious, making them a great alternative to traditional beef patties with a high fat content.
Combine the onion, 2 tablespoons of barbecue sauce, breadcrumbs, and the following 5 ingredients (breaded turkey in breadcrumbs) in a medium bowl. Divide the turkey mixture into 4 equal portions, forming each into a 1 1/2-inch thick patty.Preheat a grill pan covered with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Place the patties in the pan; cook for 7 minutes on each side or until tender.Place 1 lettuce leaf, 1 tomato slice, and 1 patty on the bottom half of each bun. Brush each patty with 1 1/2 teaspoons of barbecue sauce. Top with half buns.
