½ cup softened butter
½ cup fresh blackberries
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon lemon zest
⅛ a teaspoon of salt
1 pack (16 oz) plus 1 cup powdered sugar

If you like a lot of frosting, make a blackberry buttercream using this recipe.
Beat the first 5 ingredients with an electric mixer on medium speed until creamy.Gradually add the powdered sugar, whisking on low speed until smooth after each addition.Note: Be sure to wash and dry the blackberries thoroughly before adding them to the glaze.
