Broccoli with Caramelized Garlic and Pine Nuts

Ingredients
⅓ cup of pine nuts
¼ cup butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
6 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 pound broccoli florets
½ teaspoon salt
⅛ a teaspoon of dry crushed red pepper

For convenience, buy broccoli inflorescences in bags.
Saute the pine nuts in a large skillet over medium heat for 6 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.Heat the butter and vegetable oil in the same skillet over medium-high heat until the butter melts. Add the garlic and simmer for 1-2 minutes or until lightly browned. Add broccoli, salt and ground red pepper. Simmer for 8 minutes or until the broccoli is tender. Sprinkle with pine nuts before serving.
