Candied Bacon Sticks with Garlic Butter Drizzle

Ingredients

1 ½ cups light brown sugar
1 ½ cups powdered sugar
2 (12 oz) pieces of bacon, sliced in the center
1 (3 oz) kg thin breadsticks
4 tablespoons butter
3 cloves garlic

To make

Sweet and salty bacon wrapped around crunchy breadsticks is simply heavenly on a stick. Crispy, salty, and with just the right amount of garlic added to make the bacon stand out better (not that it needs to), these crunchy snacks are the perfect way to start a party. Thin breadsticks can be found in the cracker aisle at the grocery store, and be sure to use thinly sliced bacon to make it easy to wrap around these breadsticks. Do you feel even bolder? These aromatic sticks are used to make a savory-sweet cocktail.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare 2 baking sheets lined with foil and 1 baking sheet lined with parchment paper.Combine the sugar in a medium bowl; spread evenly on one foil-lined baking sheet.Wrap 1 slice of bacon around 1 bread stick, starting at one end and barely overlapping each other to surround the entire bread stick. Roll the bacon sticks in the sugar mixture and place on another baking sheet lined with foil. Repeat with the remaining bacon and breadsticks.Bake in the preheated oven until the bacon is crisp, about 30 minutes.Remove from the oven and immediately transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment to prevent sticking.Using a meat grinder, chop the garlic cloves into a paste. Combine the butter and minced garlic in a microwave-safe bowl. Reheat in the microwave on high power to melt the butter, about 1 minute, taking it out of the microwave frequently to mix and prevent it from popping.Using a pastry brush, brush the butter mixture over the cooked bacon sticks.Bake in the oven for another 5-7 minutes to allow the garlic to lightly brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on baking sheets.
