Chicken and Dumpling Casserole

Ingredients
2 grilled chicken breasts, cooked and minced
2 cups chicken stock
½ stick butter
2 cups sponge cake
2 cups whole milk
1 can chicken soup-puree or chicken cream with herbs
3 teaspoons chicken pellets
½ teaspoon dried sage
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
½ teaspoon salt
To make
Do not stir!
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.Layer 1: In a 9 x 13 cm baking dish, melt 1/2 stick of butter. Spread the shredded chicken over the butter. Sprinkle this layer with black pepper and dried sage. Do not mix.Layer 2: In a small bowl, combine the milk and whisk together the sponge cake. Slowly pour over the chicken on all sides. Do not mix.Layer 3: In a medium bowl, whisk together 2 cups of chicken stock, chicken fritters, and soup. After mixing, slowly pour over the sponge cake layer. Do not mix.Bake the casserole for 30 to 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
