Ingredients
3 cans (6 1/2-ounce cans) minced clams, skinless
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 ⅓ cups chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
½ cup dry white wine
4 cups hot fettuccine (about 8 ounces raw pasta)
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil

This quick and easy clam sauce recipe includes canned clams, sliced tomatoes, minced garlic, white wine, crushed red pepper, and fresh herbs. Serve with fettuccine hot - it's a light dish for a weeknight.
Drain the clams in a colander over a bowl, reserving the liquid.Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the garlic; cook for 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Add tomatoes, parsley and pepper; cook for 1 minute. Add the wine; cook for 30 seconds. Add the remaining liquid from the clams and pasta, and stir to coat; cook for 3 minutes or until the liquid has almost evaporated, stirring frequently. Add the clams and basil. Serve immediately.
