3 tablespoons orange liqueur
2 tablespoons tequila

This light cocktail, which you'll need for a single margarita recipe, is a simple blend of whipped fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, tequila and powdered sugar.
Rub the edges of a chilled margarita glass with a lime wedge and, if desired, dip the edges in salt to coat.Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the lime juice, liqueur, tequila, and powdered sugar; cover and beat until cool. Strain into the prepared glass. Garnish if desired and serve immediately.* Replace 1/3 cup of thawed lemonade concentrate with fresh lime juice. Do not add powdered sugar and continue cooking as indicated in the recipe.Note: For testing purposes only, we used Cointreau for orange liqueur and Jose Cuervo specifically for tequila.Frozen Margarita: Combine the lime juice, liqueur, tequila, and powdered sugar in a small pitcher or measuring cup; stir until the powdered sugar is dissolved. Pour into a zippered plastic freezer bag. Cover and freeze for 8 hours. Let stand for 5 minutes at room temperature before serving. Pour into the prepared glass. It is prepared for 1 serving.Frozen Strawberry Margarita: Combine lime juice, liqueur, tequila, powdered sugar, 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries *, and 1 cup crushed ice in a blender until smooth. Rub the edges of 2 chilled margarita glasses with lime wedges and, if desired, dip them in red sugar syrup to garnish. Serve immediately in prepared glasses. It turns out for 2 servings.* Can replace your favorite fruits like watermelon, peaches or berries.Margarita Sunrise: Pour lime juice, liqueur, tequila, powdered sugar, and 3 tablespoons orange juice over ice in a cocktail shaker. Cover with a lid and shake until completely cooled. Strain into the prepared glass. Add 3 tablespoons of soda water or a lemon-lime soft drink to add spice, if desired. Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of grenadine on top. Serve immediately. It is prepared for 1 serving.Melon Margarita: replace orange liqueur with melon liqueur. Follow the recipe as directed. It is prepared for 1 serving.Note: For testing purposes only, we used Midori to make melon liqueur.
