2 teaspoons lemon juice
¼ teaspoon salt

To make
Hard-boiled eggs are complemented with a classic combination of smoked salmon and cream cheese. If you're buying smoked salmon for a special occasion, set aside some for this snack.
Put the eggs and enough water to cover them in a saucepan over medium heat; bring to a boil. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for 15 minutes. Drain; return the eggs to the pan and add enough cold water and ice to cover them. Allow to cool. Peel the eggs from the shell, cut each egg lengthwise in half and put the yolks in a bowl. Leave the egg whites.Combine the egg yolks, salmon, and the following 7 ingredients, and mash with a fork until smooth. Spoon the filling onto the egg whites, cover loosely with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 days. Decorate if desired.
