Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
1 1/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
Sugar or chocolate pieces to top
To make
Slightly sweet peanut butter cookies - a holiday favorite in my household! Delicious when topped with chocolate, but can also be served plain.
Preheat oven to 350ºf/175ºc
Cream peanut butter, butter, sugar, and brown sugar until combined. Add vanilla and egg. Sift together flour, baking soda, and salt. Combine flour mixture with butter mixture.
Shape cookies into balls and either bake rolled in sugar with a fork-cross pattern, or plain. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until light gold. If baked plain, top with a piece of chocolate after baked.
