Easy Lasagna

Ingredients
1 pound tender italian sausage
1 part (15 oz) low-fat ricotta cheese in a container
¼ cup chilled ready-made pesto
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 cans of pasta sauce (26 oz.)
9 noodles for lasagna without boiling
4 cups (16 oz.) grated Italian mixture of three types of cheese or mozzarella cheese

Feed your family with ease using this quick and easy lasagna recipe. This dish will appeal to everyone!
Remove and discard the sausage casings. Saute the sausages in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally, until the meat is crumbled and no longer pink; drain.Combine the ricotta cheese, pesto and egg.Spread half of 1 can of pasta sauce evenly in a lightly oiled 13-inch x 9-inch baking dish. Lay out 3 layers of lasagna noodles (the noodles should not touch each other or the sides of the dish), half the ricotta mixture, half the sausages, 1 cup of the three-cheese mixture, and the remaining half of 1 can of pasta sauce. Repeat layers using 3 types of lasagna noodles, remaining ricotta mixture, remaining sausage, 1 cup of three types of cheese mixture. Top with the remaining 3 types of noodles and a second can of pasta sauce, completely covering the noodles. Sprinkle evenly with the remaining 2 cups of the three types of cheese mixture.Bake, covered, at 350° C, for 40 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the edges are lightly browned and bubbling. Let stand for 15 minutes.Note: For testing purposes only, we used Classico spaghetti sauce with tomatoes and basil and Barilla lasagna noodles cooked in the oven.
