Ingredients
12 ounces chilled fresh pizza dough
¾ cup low-fat ricotta cheese
⅓ cup low-fat sour cream
2 tablespoons baking powder halved
⅛ a teaspoon of kosher salt
⅛ a teaspoon of ground black pepper
Parchment paper
1 teaspoon olive oil
5 fresh figs, cut into quarters
⅓ cup chopped red onion
2 ounces low-sodium sliced ham
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
⅛ a teaspoon of kosher salt
⅛ a teaspoon of ground black pepper
2 teaspoons balsamic glaze
To make
To prepare the pizza, sprinkle the pizza dough with a mixture of ricotta cheese, figs, onions, and ham.
Place the pizza pan in the oven; preheat to 500 degrees. Let the pizza dough stand at room temperature for 30 minutes. Combine the ricotta cheese, sour cream, baking powder in half, 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper in a bowl. Sprinkle a sheet of parchment paper with flour. On parchment paper, roll out the dough into an 11-inch circle. Brush with olive oil. Spread the ricotta mixture over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch thick rim. Top with figs, onions and ham. Place on a pizza crust, then on a pizza tray in the oven. Bake for 12 minutes. Sprinkle with fresh thyme leaves, 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt, and 1/8 teaspoon black pepper. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
