Green Beans with Ham and Potatoes

Ingredients
½ cup butter or margarine
2 ½ cups diced smoked ham
2 large sweet onions, diced
3 packs (1 lb each) frozen sliced green beans, defrosted
2 cups chicken stock
1 pound small new potato, halved
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
¼ teaspoon ground red pepper flakes
1 small red bell pepper, diced
To make
Top frozen green beans with aromatic cubes, smoked ham, and new potatoes for a hearty side dish.
Melt the butter in a large roasting pan over medium-high heat; add the ham and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the onion and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the green beans and the next 4 ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, cover and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender, the last 2-3 minutes sprinkled with bell pepper.
