Ingredients
6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 garlic clove, minced or pressed
½ cup plus 2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons dijon mustard (optional)
2 teaspoons honey
To make
Based on a versatile French dressing called vinaigrette, this sauce can be prepared to suit any taste. Just add more lemon juice, olive oil, or honey for extra flavor. We recommend that you prepare and shake it in a jelly jar with a lid. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to one week; just take it out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before use and shake it vigorously before dressing the salad. Speaking of salad, a head of romaine lettuce will only add about $ 1.50 to the price. (Prescription price: $ 2.33)
