Lime Tequila

Ingredients
4 limes
1 bottle (750 ml) of tequila silver
To make
Here's a fun and ridiculously simple gift for all the cocktail lovers on your list. You can make this infusion with almost any combination of citrus and liqueur. We love this version of tequila with lime in a margarita. (Note: Delivery of spirits is prohibited in the United States)
Remove the zest from the limes with a vegetable peeler and save the fruit for another use. Place the zest in a 1-quart glass jar.* or a decorative bottle. Pour in the gin (through the funnel if the bottle has a narrow opening).Close the jar tightly and store in a cool, dark place for 1 week. The zest will lose its color almost immediately, but it will continue to give the tequila its flavor.Cool the tequila and serve cold; it will gradually thicken and slightly cloudy.* You can use a smaller bottle, but the infusion will be stronger, so try it from time to time and remove the peel when the liquor is as you want it.Preparation: for 3 months (1 year, filtered), chilled.
