Mozzarella and Basil Pizza

Ingredients

1 (8 oz) pizza ball dough
½ cup pizza sauce
4 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
12 fresh basil leaves

To make

With a pre-prepared dough and a simple sauce, this pizza can be prepared any evening of the week. Simply knead the dough in the morning; then shape it an hour before you're ready to eat. If you don't like homemade dough, just buy a ready-made dough from Trader Joe's or Whole Foods Market and shape it the way you would make a baking dough.
Place the pizza dough on a large sheet of parchment paper. Cover with a damp towel; let rise in a warm place (85 °), draughty, for 45 minutes.Preheat the oven to 500 degrees.Roll out the dough into a 12-inch circle on parchment paper. Knead the edges of the dough to form a 1/2-inch thick rim. Place the dough and parchment paper on a large baking sheet. Place on the bottom rack in the oven. Bake at 500 ° C for 5 minutes.Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the cake, leaving a 1/2-inch thick rim. Top with slices of cheese. Bake for another 10 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted. Remove from the oven; let stand for 5 minutes. Top with basil leaves; cut into wedges.Note: When using chilled pizza dough, let the dough rise as indicated in step 1 for 1 hour. Proceed as indicated in the recipe.
