Peanut Butter and Pretzel Brownies

Ingredients

8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter
6 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
¾ cup light brown sugar
¾ cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon kosher salt
½ cup peanut butter
¾ cup all-purpose flour
½ cup rice pieces
½ cup shredded pretzels

To make

Incredibly nutty and savory, these peanut butter pretzel brownies are made for the avid chocolate lovers in everyone's life. These puffy, decadent brownies, which include Reese's candies, shredded pretzel slices, and a dollop of creamy peanut butter, are perfect for your next dessert party, special occasion, or evening appetizer. As an added bonus, eat them warm from the oven with a scoop of ice cream.
Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line an 8-inch square metal baking dish with foil, covering the edges. Drizzle with cooking spray. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the chocolate until it melts and becomes smooth. Allow to cool.In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth and pale, about 30 seconds. Add the cooled chocolate mixture and peanut butter. Add the flour until it becomes smooth. Add the rice pieces, then pour the batter into the baking dish. Sprinkle the dough with chopped pretzels.Bake until a toothpick inserted in the brownie comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes. Transfer the pan to a wire rack and allow to cool completely. Remove the brownies from the pan, remove the foil, and cut into 12 pieces. Wrap the brownies in plastic wrap and store at room temperature for up to 5 days.
