Rotini and Cheese with Broccoli and Ham

Ingredients
4 liters of water
2 cups raw rotini (approximately 8 ounces corkscrew paste)
1 pack frozen chopped broccoli (10 oz.)
¼ cup all-purpose flour
2 cups skimmed milk
1 ½ cups (6 ounces) diced light processed cheese (such as Velveeta Light)
2 teaspoons dijon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup chopped ham with reduced fat content
To make
Serve this creamy dish with a green salad or fruit salad.
In a large saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Add the pasta; cook for 5 minutes. Add broccoli; cook for another 5 minutes or until pasta is tender; drain.While the pasta is cooking, lightly pour the flour into a dry measuring cup; smooth with a knife. Pour the flour into a medium saucepan; gradually add the milk, stirring with a whisk until smooth. Cook over medium heat for 8 minutes or until the mixture thickens, stirring frequently.Remove from heat; add the cheese and the next 4 ingredients (cheese and pepper). Combine the pasta mixture, cheese sauce, and ham.
